Child safety and wellbeing

We are proud to be a child safe organisation

At CheckUP, we are deeply committed to the safety and wellbeing of children. As an organisation, we wholeheartedly embrace the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, which serve as our guiding framework.

We firmly believe that child protection is everyone’s responsibility. From our Board Directors and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to our senior management, staff, representatives, contracted health professionals, contractors, consultants, students, visitors, and volunteers, we all share a collective responsibility to contribute to the safety and protection of children.

To fulfill our commitment, CheckUP has established a Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy and a Statement of Commitment to Child Safety and Wellbeing. These documents outline the key values and principles of CheckUP’s approach to protecting children and young people from abuse and neglect.

We embrace an inclusive and collaborative approach, working hand-in-hand with families, communities, Outreach providers, and partner organisations to foster a network of support around children. By creating an environment that encourages open communication and collaboration, we actively address concerns, identify potential risks, and implement preventive measures to safeguard children.

Continuous improvement is a core principle at CheckUP. We regularly review and enhance our child safety policies and practices to adapt to evolving challenges and ensure that we provide the highest level of care and protection for children.
