Acknowledgement of Country

In the spirit of reconciliation, CheckUP acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Going All OUT For Outreach

Going All OUT For Outreach

Teaching micro-credential

Offering student placements can bring significant advantages for both Outreach host facilities and service providers. Students inject energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas into your team, potentially helping you expand services or complete important projects.

Why host students?

  • Hosting students can enhance your professional skills and may open up new career opportunities for you.
  • A positive placement experience can inspire students to pursue careers in rural and remote healthcare settings, helping to address workforce shortages in these areas.

Who can you host?

Students may come from various educational backgrounds:

  • School: Offering work experience placements.
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET): Providing clinical placements.
  • University: Engaging in clinical placements to gain practical experience.

Creating positive experiences

As a host facility or student placement supervisor, you can make placements beneficial for everyone involved by following a few simple steps. This micro-course will guide you on best practices for providing a supportive and enriching experience for students and your organisation.

Start the course before 30 November 2024 and go in the draw to win one of four $50 visa gift cards.
