I bring significant experience in providing Dietetic outreach services and coordinating outreach programs. This experience gives me a real-world perspective of the unique challenges which communities and health service providers face, along with an understanding of the unparalleled professional satisfaction delivering health services in the regions can provide. I am passionate about enhancing access to health services and fostering collaborative partnerships across the region. I look forward to supporting providers, stakeholders, and communities to achieve equitable access to healthcare.

My name is Amber Hanks, and I’m the regional coordinator for the Central and Central West QLD with CheckUP. I hold a Bachelor of Health and Medical Science with Honours in Public Health. My work focuses on improving access to healthcare in rural and remote Queensland, with a strong emphasis on service integration and community engagement. I’m passionate about working alongside communities and providers to create practical, sustainable solutions that are locally driven and make a real difference.

As the Regional Coordinator for North and North West Queensland with CheckUP, I bring a compassionate and informed approach to supporting health equity across rural and remote communities. With a Diploma of Counselling and a background in suicide prevention and crisis support, I’m committed to fostering meaningful relationships and working collaboratively to improve access to health services. I aim to ensure that community strengths and needs are genuinely reflected in the way services are delivered.

With experience in People and Culture, I worked mainly in the corporate sectors and, recently with private providers in NDIS before becoming part of the CheckUP Team. I bring considerable knowledge in compliance, quality management, strategic thinking, and people management. I am highly organised and structured professionally when engaging with Stakeholders, Communities and clients, so I can deliver the right kind of consistent quality services. I aim to provide a whole client -approach health services in the community engagements and collaborations, with exceptional outcomes, value-based health feedback and services continuity in my region.
